Hammond Center For Assisted Living in Grinnell, IA, is the area's premier assisted living community serving Poweshiek, Jasper, Tama and Iowa counties. We provide 20 spacious assisted living apartments with staff on-site 24/7 to assist with health-related care, personal care and/or activities of daily living. My dad is a tenant at Hammond Center and we are big fans. It provides us both with such peace of mind knowing that he is in such good hands. The entire staff is concerned, caring and kind. My dad often comments about the delicious meals and he goes to several exercise classes each week. Recently, the tenants helped prepare food for a Fourth of July meal and a Christmas in July party. The staff does an amazing job of providing a variety of ever-changing activities and there is always a jigsaw puzzle under construction. In a nutshell, my dad is very happy and content. We couldn't ask for more.

There are only wonderful things to say about the Hammond Center for Assistant Living in Grinnell. My grandmother moved in there about a year ago and it’s been heartwarming to see how quickly she’s become acclimated to the community and to her new routine. She has a beautiful bedroom and living area and the place always smells fresh and clean. She has participated in a wide variety of activities from making crafts and going on group outings, to playing bingo and winning a homemade quilt (made by another resident). The onsite amenities are very nice and every day there’s a new activity to participate in. I really appreciate all the efforts made to keep the residents motivated, engaged, and included. The leadership and staff are exceptional. They truly care about the residents and it shows in how they talk to them and treat them. From day one they have been warm and kind and have treated my grandmother like family. And each time I’ve visited they’ve been extremely friendly and accommodating. It’s easy to get worried about a loved one when they move into a new place, but the love and respect shown to my grandmother has been truly amazing. Dion and Sammi really have an amazing attention to detail, and it shows in how this facility is run. A huge thank you to all the leadership and staff for the amazing job they are doing with the facility and the residents 💕

The Hammond Center has been very accommodating with Mom's transition into assisted living. It was with the utmost pleasure in working with Sammi as she passionately guided us throughout making Mom feel at home. They have many amenities and fun activities for the residents to choose from.
