Hammond Center For Assisted Living in Grinnell, IA, is the area's premier assisted living community serving Poweshiek, Jasper, Tama and Iowa counties. We provide 20 spacious assisted living apartments with staff on-site 24/7 to assist with health-related care, personal care and/or activities of daily living. The love and care our mom receives at the Hammond Center has been so wonderful. Sammi and the staff are friendly and helpful. The center is always clean and inviting. The activities director has such fun activities for the residents and it is fun to be able to see the pictures of their activities. Would highly recommend the Hammond Center!

A wonderful home for our mom!
Living independently was getting harder for our mom so she decided she was ready to visit assisted living facilities. After visiting several places she was excited to call the Hammond Center for Assisted Living her new home. We could not have asked for a warmer welcome from the administration and staff. They were so helpful as she made the transition from living independently to assisted living. We are so thankful for the new friendships our mom has made; both with tenants and staff. She enjoys the exercise classes and other social activities. Our mom is proud of her new home and enjoys showing it to others. We are so grateful for the quality of care our mom receives! We feel at peace knowing 24-hour supportive services are available and we know the staff goes above and beyond meeting our mom’s needs. We could not ask for better communication. It takes special people to do what the staff does at the Hammond Center. It truly is a wonderful home for our mom! We want to thank everyone so much for what they all do so well!

When our mom decided it was time for her to move to assisted living she thought of The Hammond Center, since she lived nearby in a Seeland Park duplex. We actually toured a few other facilities with her, but the Hammond Center seemed to be the best fit for her needs. Mom enjoys the friends she’s made there, as well as the exercise classes and other activities. We’re glad to know she gets balanced meals and excellent care, while still enjoying some degree of independence. There is always someone there if she needs something. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating to her and to us. We highly recommend The Hammond Center to anyone looking for assisted living!
